Strategic thought, online.

How we work

We believe every digital experience should be engaging, intuitive and rewarding. To achieve these results, we have a rigorous, process driven approach – something that can be hard to find in the digital world.

Research & exploration

Research

Research and exploration is always the first step to gain insight in to our clients’ goals and their customers’ needs.

Types of activities in this phase include: online surveys, metrics analysis, focus groups, user testing, usability reviews, brand experience assessment, trend research, competitor assessment, SEO reviews, as-is content inventories, customer research and persona development. The outputs include experience strategies and content strategies.

Information architecture and user experience design

IA

Once completed, our research and exploration work informs our information architecture and user experience design (sometimes called interface design). This phase includes the development of site maps, content models, content matrices, detailed wireframes and user journeys. We like to work closely with the visual design and build teams throughout this phase. The proposed designs are then (ideally) tested with customers and refined.

Our user experience designs and information architecture work then passes through the process to the visual design teams, content development teams and build teams. We like to work closely with these teams to help QA and problem-solve as the process continues. Though we specilialise in front-end user experience design, we are usually requested to be a part of projects until go-live.
